The Universitas Tarumanagara Choir (PSUT) achieved outstanding results at The 2nd Jakarta International Choral Festival 2026, held under the theme “Let’s Celebrate Diversity and Sing the Harmony.” The international choral competition took place from 5–7 July 2026 at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Central Jakarta.

PSUT’s participation in the competition reflects its ongoing commitment to enhancing artistic excellence, achieving competitive success, and strengthening its reputation while expanding its recognition at both the national and international levels through prestigious choral competitions.

At the festival, PSUT members and alumni competed alongside choirs from various regions across Indonesia. The choir participated in three categories: Mixed Adult Category, Pop & Jazz Category, and Sacred, Gospel, & Spiritual Category.

Through thorough preparation and strong teamwork, PSUT earned a Gold Diploma and Second Place in the Mixed Adult Category, a Gold Diploma and Second Place in the Pop & Jazz Category, as well as a Gold Diploma and Third Place in the Sacred, Gospel, & Spiritual Category.

Joelina Anastasia Dominique Limanauw, the current Executive Chair of the international competition in which PSUT is participating, expressed her pride in this achievement. “This success is a testament to the dedication of all PSUT members in improving the quality of their performances while bringing honor to Tarumanagara University at both the national and international levels.”

The 2024 Faculty of Psychology student added, “I am truly proud to have had the opportunity not only to participate in an international competition like this but also to achieve victory.”

The achievement marks another important milestone in PSUT’s ongoing efforts to enhance its musical excellence, expand its presence within the choral community, and promote Universitas Tarumanagara through competitions at both the national and international levels. (VC/YS)
