The Faculty of Psychology (FPsi) of Untar held a public lecture on Tuesday (9/6/2026) at Campus I of Untar. The event was part of the Cognitive Psychology and Informative Technology course and aimed to enrich students’ understanding of the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field of psychology.

The event was part of the Cognitive Psychology and Informative Technology course and aimed to enrich students’ understanding of the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field of psychology.

“The appropriate use of technology can support assessment processes, educational initiatives, and the development of psychological well-being programs that are more effective and accessible,” said David.

He also emphasized that AI is not intended to replace psychologists but rather to serve as a supporting tool that can enhance the quality of psychological services. Through collaboration between human expertise and technology, various mental health challenges can be addressed more responsively and sustainably.

Kegiatan ini turut dihadiri Rektor Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M. Kehadirannya menunjukkan dukungan Untar terhadap pengembangan pendidikan yang adaptif terhadap kemajuan teknologi sekaligus tetap berorientasi pada kesejahteraan manusia.

Through this public lecture, students gained insights into the importance of building mentally healthy campuses and workplaces amid ongoing digital transformation. Participants were also encouraged to explore how AI can be utilized ethically and responsibly to support psychological practice and create a more inclusive and empowering ecosystem for the entire academic community and society at large.
