The Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Psychology (BEM Psiko) at Universitas Tarumanagara once again held its annual program, MindMaster, aimed at active Psychology students from universities across Indonesia. The event took place on May 7–9, 2026, under the theme “Decoding the Mind, Defying the Expected.”
Through this theme, MindMaster 2026 encouraged participants to better understand how individuals think, feel, and make decisions in various situations. The competition also motivated students to become more critical, creative, and capable of viewing issues from different perspectives while still adhering to scientific psychological theories.
MindMaster 2026 featured three competition categories: MindMaster Contest, Digital Poster Competition, and Creative Content Competition. The MindMaster Contest was conducted onsite at the Untar campus, while the digital poster and creative content competitions were held online from May 4–7, 2026.
Chairperson of MindMaster 2026, Kimberly Angela Handiyono, stated that the event was designed as a platform to develop students’ abilities in psychology.
“MindMaster is presented as a platform for critical and analytical thinking, especially for psychology students. Beyond being a competition, we hope this event can become a space for learning, gaining experience, and healthy competition,” she said.
In line with this, President of BEM Psychology Untar, Marisa Dwi Putri Marrogi, expressed hope that the competition would serve as a positive platform for academic development among psychology students.
“We hope this competition becomes a healthy platform for developing the academic abilities of psychology students,” she remarked.
Representative of the Faculty of Psychology Untar, Reza Falevi, S.K.M., M.M., M.Psi., Psikolog., also emphasized the importance of creative and analytical thinking skills in the field of psychology.
“Through this activity, two important life skills are being developed. The first is creative thinking through poster and video creation, and the second is analytical thinking. Students need to have the ability to process ideas and think critically when competing in the field of psychology,” he explained.
The opening ceremony of MindMaster 2026 was enlivened by performances from the Faculty Student Activity Unit (UKMF) of Psychology Untar, UKE Tarumanagara, which showcased a traditional dance performance. In addition, a collaborative performance by UKE Mousai and Phoenicia featured a choir combined with a monologue drama presentation.
Through the implementation of MindMaster 2026, BEM Psychology Untar hopes to create an educational and inspiring competition platform for psychology students at the national level. (KS/YS)
