The Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Universitas Tarumanagara held a Research Methodology Workshop for Scopus Journals from May 4–7, 2026, at Untar Campus I. The international workshop marked a concrete initiative by Untar through LPPM to improve both the quality and quantity of publications by lecturers and students in Scopus-indexed journals.
The four-day workshop featured Prof. Walton Wider from INTI International University & Colleges as the keynote speaker. During the event, Prof. Walton expressed his commitment to supporting the development of academic publications at Untar through guidance in research methodology and scientific journal writing.
“Scientific publication is not merely about fulfilling academic targets, but also about how research outcomes can contribute and create broader impacts for the global community,” said Prof. Walton.
Chairperson of the event, Nadia Ayu Rahma Lestari, S.T., M.Sc., welcomed Prof. Walton’s participation in the workshop. She explained that the activity was organized as an effort to enhance the capabilities of lecturers and students in understanding research methodologies and the process of writing scientific articles that meet the standards of reputable international journals.
“This workshop is expected to help participants understand systematic scientific writing strategies and improve their opportunities for publication in Scopus-indexed journals,” Nadia stated.
Furthermore, the LPPM Untar representative explained that the activity serves as a follow-up to LPPM Untar’s research programs oriented toward Scopus-indexed outputs. The workshop also forms part of Untar’s efforts to achieve its international publication key performance indicators (KPI) by improving the quality of research and academic publications within the university environment.
