The Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Law (BEM FH) at Untar organized the fourth edition of SportFest as a sports competition event for high school students across the Greater Jakarta area. The activity has become a regular program held once every term, serving as a platform for young people to channel their interests and talents in sports.
This year, SportFest IV was held on April 16–18, 2026, at Untar Campus I and several sports venues outside the university. Carrying the theme “United in The Spirit of Sponsorship,” the event featured various sports favored by students, including futsal, badminton, volleyball, and an e-sports competition through Mobile Legends. The wide range of competitions was expected to attract broader student interest while creating an exciting and competitive atmosphere.
Chairman of the organizing committee, Maximillian Ivander Kiyoshi (Class of 2023), explained that the event aimed to encourage participation from high school students throughout the Greater Jakarta area, both as competitors and spectators. Beyond being a competition platform, SportFest IV also served as a space for interaction and strengthening relationships among students from different schools.
“Through this event, BEM FH Untar also seeks to introduce Untar to students, both in terms of facilities and campus environment. SportFest IV is expected to provide an overview of campus life while also becoming an attraction for prospective students to continue their studies at Untar,” said Maximillian.
In addition to focusing on competition, the event also upheld the values of sportsmanship, togetherness, and unity. Participants were encouraged to compete fairly while building positive relationships with fellow participants.
The event was attended by Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunardi, S.H., M.H.; Head of the Student and Alumni Affairs Institute Tri Sutrisno, S.Si., M.Sc.; Head of the Undergraduate Law Study Program Dr. Rugun Romaida Hutabarat, S.H., M.H.; and Student Advisor of the Faculty of Law Elisabeth Sihaloho, S.H., M.H.
Through the organization of SportFest IV by BEM FH Untar, the event is expected not only to become a sports competition platform, but also to strengthen togetherness, foster unity, and introduce Untar more broadly to younger generations. (VC/YS)
