Untar Rector Appointed as a Central APTISI Board Member for 2025–2030

The Rector of Tarumanagara University (Untar), Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., was officially appointed as the Deputy Chair for Legal Affairs and Advocacy in the Central Board of the Indonesian Association of Private Higher Education Institutions (APTISI) for the 2025–2030 period. The inauguration took place during the APTISI Central Board Inauguration and National Assembly at The Krakatau Grand Ballroom, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta, on November 17–18, 2025.

The event, themed “The Direction of Higher Education Toward Indonesia Emas 2045,” was attended by more than 1,500 participants consisting of leaders of Private Higher Education Institutions (PTS), regional board members, and representatives from related institutions.

The inauguration was led by the Chairman of APTISI, Dr. Ir. H. M. Budi Djatmiko, M.Si., M.E.I. He emphasized that the newly appointed APTISI board members are expected to strengthen organizational governance and enhance the contribution of Private Higher Education Institutions (PTS) to national development, particularly in improving the quality of higher education.

The Rector of Untar stated that his appointment as an APTISI board member reflects the trust placed in him and Untar’s contribution to strengthening the higher education ecosystem in Indonesia.

“I am committed to strengthening good legal governance and enhancing the advocacy function for APTISI members so that private higher education becomes increasingly high-quality, impactful, and equitable,” he said.

The event was also attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, who delivered the keynote speech. In his remarks, the President emphasized the important role of private universities in developing high-quality human resources and enhancing the nation’s competitiveness.

“Kolaborasi pemerintah dan PTS diperlukan untuk memperkuat inovasi serta mendukung pencapaian visi Indonesia Emas 2045,” katanya.

The inauguration of the APTISI management for the 2025–2030 period serves as a momentum to strengthen the contribution of private higher education institutions in the national higher education ecosystem and to promote cross-institutional collaboration towards a more advanced future of education.

APTISI Central currently oversees more than 3,000 private higher education institutions across Indonesia and continues to strengthen its role as a strategic partner of the government in formulating national higher education policies. (YS)
