The Faculty of Information Technology (FTI) of Untar held the final stage of the Game Design Competition titled Game Development with Roblox on Monday (10/11/2025) at Building R, Campus I Untar.
The week-long event was attended by high school and vocational school students from across Greater Jakarta to learn the fundamentals of interactive game development. The competition served as both a learning platform and a creative contest for young generations to gain closer exposure to the world of technology and game design.
Head of the organizing committee, Darius Andana Haris, S.Kom., M.T.I., explained that Roblox was selected as the main theme due to its popularity among Generation Z and its relevance to the current development of the gaming and artificial intelligence (AI) industries. “Through this activity, participants not only learn the technical aspects of game design, but are also introduced to the application of AI in creating more interactive and immersive gaming experiences,” he stated.
The event further strengthened Untar’s role as a university actively bridging education with the future needs of industry.
On the same occasion, Dean of FTI Untar, Prof. Dr. Ir. Dyah Erny Herwindiati, M.Si., attended the closing ceremony and presented awards to the winners. “This activity has been held consecutively for the past five years, and this year we focused on the application of AI among young people,” she explained.
Throughout the event, participants received training through workshops and hands-on practice sessions up to the game implementation stage.
One of the participants and competition winners, Nayomi Bataritoja Laksmono from the Presma Dev team of SMK Prestasi Prima, shared her experience. “This was my first AI competition experience and became a place to learn, especially in teamwork and in developing something that appeals to many people,” she said.

Third Honorable Mention — Traviscode (SMKN 8 Jakarta)
