A total of 13 new doctors graduating from the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Untar officially took their professional oath during the 147th Doctor Inauguration and 87th Graduation Ceremony, held at the Auditorium of J Building, Untar Campus I, on Wednesday (29/10/2025).
The meaningful occasion marked the official entry of these young physicians into Indonesia’s medical workforce. The oath-taking ceremony was led by FK Untar Dean Dr. dr. Noer Saelan Tadjudin, Sp.KJ., and was conducted in accordance with each participant’s religious beliefs.
In his remarks, Untar Rector Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M. emphasized that the medical profession is a noble calling that demands dedication and commitment.
“The journey to becoming a doctor is an honorable one, yet full of challenges. The title you carry is not merely a symbol of academic achievement, but also a great responsibility to serve society,” said the Rector.
Since its establishment, FK Untar has graduated more than 5,000 doctors who are now serving communities across various regions of Indonesia. Through its newest graduates, FK Untar continues to reaffirm its commitment to producing medical professionals who are competent, ethical, and globally competitive.
Also in attendance was Chairperson of the Indonesian Medical Association (IDI) West Jakarta Region, Dr. dr. Cecilia R. Padang, Ph.D., FACR, who presented the Medical Code of Ethics book as a symbolic reminder of the profession’s core values.
“Remember and always uphold this Medical Code of Ethics. Dedicate your knowledge to society and remain lifelong learners,” she advised the newly inaugurated doctors.
Representing the Tarumanagara Medical Alumni Association (KAMT), dr. Sari Mariyati Dewi, M.Biomed., also presented alumni pins as a symbol of pride and the new responsibilities now entrusted to the young physicians.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by representatives of the Tarumanagara Foundation leadership, partner hospital executives, healthcare institutions collaborating with FK Untar, and the families of the new doctors.
Through this event, the Faculty of Medicine of Untar reaffirmed its role as a medical education institution committed to producing outstanding physicians with integrity who contribute meaningfully to improving the quality of healthcare in Indonesia.
