Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) hosted the special event “One Year of the Prabowo–Gibran Administration”, organized by Garuda TV on Monday (20/10/2025) at the Auditorium of the Main Building, Campus I Untar.
The event served as a moment of reflection on the first year of the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, featuring speakers from various ministries and state institutions.
The panelists represented a wide range of government ministries and agencies, including Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra, Minister of Transmigration M. Iftitah Sulaiman, Minister of Manpower Yassierli, Minister of Environment Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid, Governor of North Maluku Sherly Tjoanda, executives from State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), and Brigadier General TNI Frega Wenas, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense.
During the discussion, the speakers reviewed the achievements and challenges faced by the administration during its first year and outlined projections for future national policies in areas such as development, employment, environmental sustainability, and public communication.
Untar Rector, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., stated that the event reflected Untar’s role in bridging academia and public policy.
“As an educational institution, Untar is committed to providing an open, scholarly, and balanced platform for discussion. Through events such as this, students and the wider community can gain an objective, critical, and educational understanding of national policy directions. This aligns with Untar’s mission to nurture a generation that is not only intellectually capable but also deeply concerned about the future of the nation,” he said.
Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board, Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H., added that hosting such a significant event on campus reflects the high level of public trust in Untar.
“Untar’s participation as the host is not merely symbolic. It reflects the tangible role of higher education institutions in promoting public literacy and strengthening synergy among academics, government, and the media. Untar remains committed to serving as a strategic partner in supporting national development,” he stated.
The event, which was held onsite and broadcast live through Garuda TV’s YouTube channel, was also attended by students from various faculties at Untar. Through this initiative, Untar reaffirmed its role as a collaborative, inclusive, and nationally relevant academic space while strengthening its position as a higher education institution actively engaged in promoting political literacy and public participation in national and civic life.
