Untar’s participation in the Jakarta International Investment, Trade, Tourism & SME Expo (JITEX) 2025 demonstrated the active role of higher education institutions in supporting the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through design. Students and lecturers from the Interior Design Study Program of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD) Untar showcased innovative works that emphasized functionality and sustainability.

The exhibition, held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) from 17–21 September 2025, carried the theme “Jakarta Connecting Futures.” Through this international event, Untar reaffirmed its contribution as a strategic partner to industry by presenting design solutions capable of strengthening local identity while addressing the demands of the global market.

Untar’s participation in JITEX served not only as a platform to showcase creative works but also as a valuable learning and networking opportunity for students, enabling them to contribute directly to the creative industry and MSME ecosystem.

Beyond exhibiting their work, Untar’s involvement highlighted meaningful collaboration between academia, industry, government, and the community. Through various JITEX programs—including product exhibitions, business matching sessions, and discussion forums—students gained cross-sector experience that supports their readiness to compete in the global marketplace.

Acara dibuka Wakil Gubernur DKI Jakarta Rano Karno, yang didampingi pejabat Pemda DKI. Dalam sambutannya, Rano Karno menekankan pentingnya JITEX sebagai penggerak ekonomi Jakarta dan nasional.

Through its participation in the event, Untar further reinforced the role of higher education in bridging creativity and industry, while encouraging MSMEs to become more competitive on the global stage.
