The Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD) of Untar celebrated its 31st Anniversary with a spirit of togetherness and creativity. The celebration was held on Thursday (11/10/2025) at the Epic Design Space, Building R, Campus I Untar, under the theme “31: Sustainable for the Future.”

This year’s anniversary series was not limited to the commemorative day itself but had begun earlier through a range of pre-events. One of the highlights was the International Exhibition, showcasing works by FSRD students and lecturers, as well as contributions from overseas universities, displayed at the Epic Design Space.

In his remarks, the Dean of FSRD Untar expressed his hopes following the faculty’s 31st anniversary milestone. “I hope that all FSRD programs that have been running successfully will continue to be sustained, while new initiatives that have been planned can be developed optimally,” said Dr. Kurnia.

Echoing this sentiment, Untar Rector Prof. Amad emphasized that FSRD’s journey over the past 31 years reflects its growing maturity and strength. “FSRD has tremendous potential to continue exploring new opportunities and developing further as the faculty progresses rapidly,” he stated.

The celebration became even more memorable with a poetry reading performance by Pak Toto and Bu Suli, accompanied by a video presentation highlighting FSRD Untar’s journey through the years. Another special moment was the launch of the book Three Decades of FSRD Untar, written by FSRD alumnus Budi Sanjaya, S.Ds., and specially designed to commemorate the faculty’s long-standing journey.

Nashir Setiawan, M.Hum. completed a painting that had previously been outlined by the Untar Rector, the Dean of FSRD, and a representative of Yayasan Tarumanagara, symbolizing collaboration and continuity.

Chair of the Anniversary Committee, Budi Darmo, S.Sn., M.Ds., expressed his appreciation to all parties who contributed to the event’s success. “I hope that as FSRD Untar continues to grow, it will keep creating and innovating to support the sustainability of art and design in the future,” he said.
