The visit of Prof. Shinichi Miyazato from the Kanazawa Institute of Technology, Japan, to Untar on Wednesday (10/10/2025) at Building M, Campus I Untar, aimed to establish academic cooperation, particularly with the Master of Civil Engineering Program of Untar’s Faculty of Engineering (FT).

Through this collaboration, both institutions are expected to build strong synergies in academic development, research, and knowledge exchange between Indonesia and Japan.

Untar Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Partnerships, Assoc. Prof. Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psikolog, welcomed the visit and expressed hope that the relationship would serve as a bridge to strengthen future cooperation between the two parties.

Dean of Untar’s Faculty of Engineering, Ir. Harto Tanujaya, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., also expressed support for the initiative. According to him, international collaboration is an important step toward enhancing academic quality and research excellence, while also strengthening graduates’ competitiveness on the global stage.

During the meeting, Prof. Shinichi conveyed his optimism that this international partnership could strengthen the position of both institutions in addressing global challenges in higher education. He also emphasized that the strong relationship between Indonesia and Japan provides a solid foundation for sustaining long-term collaboration.

The event was also attended by the Head of Untar’s Institute for Learning and Academic Innovation, Dr. Ir. Steven Darmawan, S.T., M.T., and the Head of Untar’s Public Relations and Multimedia Office, Rorlen, S.E., M.M. Their presence reflected Untar’s commitment to expanding international networks and fostering global partnerships. (VC/YS)
