Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Stella Christie, Ph.D., encouraged Untar freshmen to discover their unique strengths throughout their university journey.
The message was delivered by Prof. Stella during a public lecture at Untar’s 2025 Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB), held on Friday (15/8/2025) at Tarumanagara Arena, Campus I Untar, Jakarta. According to her, university life is the ideal time for students to explore their interests, try new experiences, and avoid simply following the crowd.
“Whatever you do during your campus life, whether in student organizations or academics, find your own expertise and strengths,” she said before hundreds of new students.
She emphasized that industries today require not only technical skills (hard skills), but also adaptability, a willingness to learn new things, and an innovative mindset.
“Build your network of friendships. Opportunities can emerge from those connections,” she added.
The third day of PKKMB Untar 2025 was also attended by Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board, Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H.; Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M.; as well as faculty leaders.
Carrying the theme “Step Into Greatness by Daring to Explore,” PKKMB Untar 2025 began on Wednesday (13/8/2025) and will conclude with the commemoration ceremony of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia on Sunday (17/8/2025) at Campus II Untar.
