A team from the Faculty of Law (FH) of Untar secured First Place in the Literature Review Speech Competition organized by the Education and Training Institute of the Indonesian National Police (Lemdiklat Polri) under the theme “Gebyar Merah Putih.” The competition was held at the Badhawa Auditorium of PTIK on Tuesday (12/8/2025).

The event brought together eight teams from Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Tarumanagara, Universitas Trisakti, and five undergraduate teams from STIK-PTIK. The competition aimed to enhance participants’ public speaking abilities, broaden their understanding of academic literature, and build confidence in presenting ideas.

The Untar Faculty of Law team, consisting of Farrel Nouvaleo Akbar, Juan Joubert Immanuel, and Devina Agnesia, delivered an outstanding performance by presenting a review of Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl.

“My team and I are very happy to have won this competition. However, I also realize that there is still much to learn to succeed in future competitions. This competition has provided valuable experience and serves as a stepping stone for continued growth,” said Farrel Akbar.

Despite having limited preparation time, the team successfully overcame various challenges through effective strategies.

“We began with brainstorming sessions, studied the book in depth, and then developed a speech structure based on each member’s role. We conducted intensive practice sessions to ensure a stronger delivery. Time constraints were managed through discipline, constant communication, and a commitment to supporting one another,” he explained.

Farrel also shared a motivational message for fellow Untar Faculty of Law students, encouraging them to participate in competitions.

“Friedrich Nietzsche once said, ‘He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how.’ Find your own ‘why’ in studying and striving—whether it is to make your parents proud, create positive change, or become the best version of yourself. With a clear motivation, any challenge can be overcome,” he said.

This achievement further demonstrates the Untar Faculty of Law’s commitment to nurturing students who excel not only academically but also have the confidence to compete at the national level.
