Tarumanagara University (Untar) held a welcoming and introduction event for the Architecture Professional Program (PPAr) on Friday, February 21, 2025. The event, which took place at Wastu 1 Room, Block J, 8th floor, Campus I Untar, marked an important moment as the official opening of lectures for the newly established program, which was officially launched in September 2024.
The event was attended by Untar’s Vice Rector, Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psychologist, representing the Rector, as well as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering (FT) Untar, Ir. Harto Tanujaya, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. Also present were the lecturers who will be teaching in the PPAr and Master of Architecture programs, including Ar. Suwardana Winata, M.Arch., IAI, and the Head of the Master of Architecture Program, Ir. Agustinus Sutanto, M.Arch., M.Sc., Ph.D. The event was also attended by PPAr and Master of Architecture students who will pursue their education at Untar.
Opening Remarks and Hopes for the New Program

The event began with a speech from the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Ir. Harto Tanujaya, who welcomed the new students and emphasized the importance of meaningful learning.
“Welcome to the participants of the PPAr and Master of Architecture programs at Untar. We are committed to providing a quality and valuable learning experience, especially for the architecture profession. We hope that the learning model at Untar will offer insights that cannot be found elsewhere. Feel free to engage in discussions with the lecturers, as the essence of learning is the mutual sharing of knowledge,” he said.
Next, Sri Tiatri, as the representative of the Rector of Untar, delivered a speech and officially opened the event.
“I see extraordinary enthusiasm from the students, and that is truly encouraging. I hope this program runs smoothly and is able to produce professional architects. The enthusiasm of the lecturers at the start of this semester also serves as a positive energy for all of us. I hope the entire program proceeds well and that the outcomes from this program can make a real contribution to society. Wishing you all the best in your academic journey in this new semester,” he expressed.

After the opening remarks, Dr. Suwardana Winata introduced the Architecture Professional Program (PPAr), followed by a presentation on the Master of Architecture Program by Ir. Agustinus Sutanto.
As a closing, all participants, lecturers, and the leadership of Untar took a group photo, followed by a social gathering and shared meal as a symbol of the beginning of their academic journey at Untar.
With the success of this event, it is hoped that the participants will gain a deeper understanding of the program they are undertaking and foster good relationships with both lecturers and fellow students. The presence of the Architecture Professional Program (PPAr) at Untar is a strategic step in producing professional architects who are ready to face industry challenges and contribute to the nation’s development. .
