A delegation from Shenyang College, China, held a meeting with the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation of Untar, Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psychologist, on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the Untar campus. Both parties agreed to strengthen the cooperation outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support the development of the Faculty of Medicine and Polytechnic, as well as to expand Untar’s international network. The cooperation also includes curriculum development, sharing knowledge and experiences in the medical field, and enhancing the capabilities of teaching staff. In her speech, the Vice Rector emphasized the importance of this collaboration to strengthen both institutions, particularly in the fields of technology and healthcare.
“This collaboration is crucial for building a mutually beneficial partnership, sharing knowledge, and strengthening both institutions. Collaboration in technology and healthcare will provide a solid foundation for enhancing this partnership,” said Mr. Changfu Sun, Director-General of Shenyang Education, who represented Shenyang College. He expressed hope that the knowledge possessed by Shenyang College could be shared and developed together with Untar for better progress.
The Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board, Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H., who was also present at the meeting, stated that this collaboration is highly relevant to support the development of the Faculty of Medicine at Untar, especially since the Tarumanagara Foundation also manages Royal Taruma Hospital. This partnership is expected to serve as a foundation for broader future collaborations, connecting academics, researchers, and students from both sides to work together on various international projects and research that are aligned with global developments.
The meeting between the two partners was also complemented by a campus tour around Untar, specifically showcasing the laboratories, classrooms, and facilities at the Faculty of Medicine. (VC/YS/AJ/YS)
