The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) once again held the 2024 Diktisaintek Award ceremony. The event took place on Friday, December 13, 2024, at the Graha Diktisaintek, Kemdiktisaintek, Jakarta. The Diktisaintek Award recognizes higher education institutions and higher education service agencies (LLDIKTI) for their contributions to supporting higher education programs and policies, research, and technology throughout 2024.
In his speech, the Secretary General of Kemdiktisaintek, Prof. Ir. Togar Simatupang, mentioned that the event involved 315 state and private universities, higher education service agencies, the business and industry world, ministries/agencies, as well as media and journalists who had registered and won awards. The selection process for the award involved judging and data collection to assess the performance of stakeholders, particularly universities that have made significant impacts on society.
Untar received awards in two categories. First, Untar was named the Gold Winner in the Research, Technology, and Community Service Award, particularly in the Research category (SINTA Award). Untar achieved the highest score in the Main cluster for the 2021-2023 period. In addition, Untar also won the Bronze Winner in the Public Relations (Humas) PTS category for the Website category.
The Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., attended the event to represent the university and accept the awards. During the ceremony, the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro, expressed his appreciation to all the award recipients for their achievements. “I extend my highest appreciation to those who will receive awards today. This recognition is a form of our commitment to appreciating the hard work in realizing the transformation and reform of higher education,” he said.
The Diktisaintek Award is expected to serve as a momentum for collaboration and synergy between the government, universities, and all stakeholders. With this cooperation, it is hoped that the quality of higher education in Indonesia will continue to improve and strengthen the research and innovation ecosystem, making Indonesia more advanced and competitive on the global stage.
