Untar was appointed as a mentor university by the Higher Education Services Institution (LLDIKTI) Region III Jakarta and hosted the Benchmarking Implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) event coordinated by the Hermina Health Institute (IKH) on Monday (25/11/2024) at Untar Campus I. This activity aimed to improve the quality of education and services at each university, in line with the implementation of the latest policies related to quality assurance in higher education.
The background for this event was the launch of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation (Permendikbudristek) No. 53 of 2023, which establishes new guidelines for the Quality Assurance of Higher Education. This policy requires every higher education institution to adapt to the rapid changes in the education system, especially in facing the rapid development of technology and information.
During this event, an Implementation Agreement (IA) was signed by representatives from each institution. The benchmarking participants learned various aspects of higher education quality management, including policies, procedures, and evaluation systems that could be adapted to achieve common goals in improving the quality of higher education in the health sciences (STIKes) field in Indonesia.
The Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., in his speech, expressed that Untar’s accreditation as an excellent institution is expected to help other universities present at the event to develop better together. “Likewise, Untar can also gain new lessons from this benchmarking. This meeting also serves as an effort to implement the latest Permendikbudristek regulation,” he said.
