The Untar Learning Institution once again held the Humaniora Festival online on Tuesday (26/11/2024). The 2024 Humaniora Festival raised the theme “Psychological Resilience of the Young Generation in Defending the Country.” The Humaniora Festival is a regular event held every semester by Untar to give appreciation to outstanding students and lecturers.
Head of the Learning Institute Dr. Ir. Henny Wiyanto, M.T., I.P.M. in his report mentioned that the 2024 Humaniora Festival involved two main activities, namely a webinar and a competition that had closed on November 19, 2024. He also stated that the materials from the Humaniora Festival were part of the curriculum for the Pancasila, Religion, Citizenship, and English courses. The 2024 Humaniora Festival competition consisted of three categories: articles, posters, and videos.
The Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H. M.Kn. M.M., expressed his gratitude to all parties who participated in the event. “I hope this event provides benefits and broad insights for the Untar academic community, so they can better understand the importance of the young generation’s role in maintaining the nation’s resilience,” he said. He also emphasized the importance of the young generation’s mental resilience in facing various pressures, both internal and external. “Through this webinar, we hope to explore ways to enhance psychological resilience, especially for the younger generation,” he added.
The Humaniora Festival webinar featured two key speakers: Prof. Dr. Rasji, S.H., M.H., Vice Rector of Untar, and Dr. Naomi Soetikno, M.Pd., Psychologist, who is the Head of the Psychology Professional Education Program at Untar. Prof. Rasji presented the topic “Youth’s National Defense Attitude through Legal Understanding Related to Psychology in the Disruption Era.” He explained that the era of disruption is a time of significant change driven by innovation and digital technology. He encouraged students to showcase their expertise in their respective fields as a form of contribution to national defense, supporting Indonesia’s development into a developed nation.
Dr. Naomi presented the topic “Psychological Resilience of the Young Generation in National Defense: Digital Literacy in the Disruption Era.” She highlighted the impact of rapid technological development, especially in the work and education sectors. This can create uncertainty due to the younger generation’s lack of preparation for large-scale changes. She hopes that students will strengthen their national defense attitude psychologically by using digital technology positively.
The participants of the 2024 Humaniora Festival competition included 253 groups in the scientific article competition, 236 groups in the poster competition, and 218 groups in the video competition, all of which successfully advanced to the final evaluation stage.
