Untar consistently provides a conducive, safe, and violence-free learning environment for all students. The university also continuously strives to improve its quality assurance processes for the tri dharma of higher education to maintain its reputation as one of the best universities in Indonesia.
This was conveyed by the Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., in front of the graduates at the 84th Untar graduation ceremony, held on Sunday (October 20, 2024) at the Jakarta Convention Center, with the theme “Untar for Indonesia, Untar for the World: Innovation for Sustainability.”
“The various achievements that Untar has attained are the result of the hard work of the academic community, including the graduates who are being honored today. We would like to express our gratitude for the synergy, collaboration, and performance you have demonstrated during your time as Untar students,” he added.

In another part of his speech, the Rector reminded that the government has emphasized the importance of education in supporting human life. Education has become one of the government’s focal points in achieving the goals of sustainable development or Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This graduation ceremony saw the conferral of degrees to 869 graduates from Bachelor’s (S1), Master’s (S2), and Doctoral (S3) programs, as well as professional degrees, from eight faculties and the Graduate Program. The event was also attended by the Head of the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDikti) Region III, Prof. Dr. Toni Toharudin. S.Si., M.Sc.
In his speech, the Head of LLDikti III stated that Untar has prepared its graduates with the relevant skills and knowledge to face national and international challenges. The focus on innovation has made the graduates ready to contribute in the era of technological transformation.
He added that the Untar graduates are expected to continue improving their competencies and skills in various fields. This is important to ensure that they remain relevant and able to compete amidst the rapid technological advancements and changes in civilization within their respective fields.
The Untar graduation ceremony always features a Nusantara cultural theme and has earned a MURI Record for the sustainable use of Nusantara cultural themes. This is a tangible proof of Untar’s commitment to preserving Indonesia’s cultural heritage. This time, the ceremony showcased the Betawi cultural theme. (VC/YS/PA/VC)
