Untar and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. The signing was conducted by the Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., and the Assistant to the Chief of Police for Human Resources, Inspector General of Police (Irjen Pol) Prof. Dr. Dedi Prasetyo, S.H., M.Hum., M.Si., M.M., representing the Chief of Police, at the Borobudur Hotel in Jakarta.
The signing, which took place alongside the 2024 Human Resources (HR) and Civil Servant (PNS) Polri Coordination Meeting (Rakorbin), marks the collaboration and commitment of both institutions in strengthening education, research, community service, and institutional development.
The Rector of Untar expressed that this signing strengthens the synergy between the two institutions. “This collaboration is Untar’s commitment to continuously develop partnerships with strategic partners like the National Police, particularly in the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and institutional development,” he stated.
He also emphasized that the relationship between Untar and the National Police has been long-established. Untar has collaborated with the National Police, particularly in human resource development through advanced education programs such as the Master’s (S2) and Doctoral (S3) programs, as well as various other Tri Dharma programs.
In line with the theme “Adaptive and Integrity-based Polri Human Resources Towards Society 5.0 for Realizing an Advanced Indonesia,” the Head of the Personnel Development Division of the National Police (Karobinkar SSDM Polri), Brigadier General Langgeng Purnomo, S.I.K., M.H., in his report stated that this event aims to evaluate the implementation of policies and work plans related to the development of human resources and civil servants within the National Police. To improve the quality of human resources, the National Police (Polri) has partnered with several higher education institutions, including Universitas Tarumanagara, Universitas Krisnadwipayana, Universitas Pakuan Bogor, as well as other organizations such as the Social Health Insurance Organizing Agency (BPJS Kesehatan), Bank BTN, and PT. Indonesia Indicator.
The implementation of the cooperation that has been and continues to be established between Untar and the National Police in the fields of education and community service will be further developed in other areas, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on society and the nation of Indonesia.
