Faculty of Law (FH) Untar invited Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries for the period 2001-2004 Prof. Dr. Ir. Rokhmin Dahuri, MS. in a public lecture with the theme “Building Young Generation with Global Insight Towards Golden Indonesia”, Wednesday (11/9/2024) at the Auditorium of Campus I Untar.
On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rokhmin Dahuri, MS, who is also an academician, researcher, and expert in the field of marine and fisheries in Indonesia, said in front of the students that successful university alumni are not only personally successful, but also must be able to contribute in realizing a golden Indonesia.
He said there was an expert in Europe who stated that one of the conditions for a country to be developed and prosperous is if the number of entrepreneurs reaches at least 7% of the total population.
“I hope an excellent campus like Untar can produce alumni who have an entrepreneurial spirit, in accordance with the existing IPE values,” he added.
Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. H. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., who attended the event said that to be a leader, integrity, professionalism, and a creative and innovative spirit are needed.
“I believe the students in this room are the future recipients of the national leadership baton for a golden Indonesia,” he said.
He said that the values in Untar, namely Integrity, Professionalism, and Entrepreneurship (IPE) must be embedded in every Untarian, both while on campus and after graduation.
The public lecture attended by students and lecturers of Faculty of Law is expected to provide insight to students as the young generation to have a global perspective in order to realize the golden Indonesia in 2045. (DP/YS/KJ)
