Research on the adoption model of the Integrated Construction Services Information System (SIJKT) is expected to support the implementation of the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) in the construction sector and contribute to the advancement of Indonesia’s construction industry, particularly in the field of Public Works and Public Housing, while taking into account the construction services context, the complexity of stakeholder relationships, and ease of implementation.
This was conveyed by Dewi Chomistriana during the defense of her dissertation titled “The Adoption Model of an Integrated Construction Services Information System Supporting the Electronic-Based Government System in the Public Works and Public Housing Sector” at the open examination of the Doctor of Civil Engineering Study Program (DTS), Faculty of Engineering (FT) Untar, held on Monday (26/8/2024) at the Auditorium of Untar Campus I.
Dewi highlighted that, to date, there has been no SPBE adoption model that simultaneously considers individual, technological, and organizational aspects. Therefore, an integrated adoption model encompassing these three dimensions is needed to enhance the measurement of the SPBE maturity index.
Through her dissertation, Dewi recommended that SPBE research serve as a strong foundation for future studies on construction services in Indonesia, while also improving business service governance and strengthening the competitiveness of the national construction industry.
She further emphasized that achieving this goal requires alignment in vision, objectives, expectations for SPBE development, and the capacities of all stakeholders involved in the process.
As the primary promoter, Prof. Dr. Ir. Agus Taufik Mulyono, MT., IPU., ASEAN Eng. advised Dewi to become a humanistic and adaptive scholar by upholding humanitarian values in efforts to promote better economic productivity.
The open examination was also attended by the Head of the Infrastructure Development Implementation Task Force for the National Capital City (IKN), Dr. Ir. Danis H. Sumadilaga, M.Eng.Sc, IPU., and representative of the Directorate General of Construction Development, Ir. Abdul Muis, M.T.
Dewi Chomistriana became the 80th graduate of the Doctor of Civil Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Untar. (MS/YS/PA/KJ)
