Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng., along with a delegation from Untar, visited several universities in Yogyakarta to observe quality assurance processes and benchmark Untar’s achievements against those of other higher education institutions. The visits took place on 22–23 August 2024 and included Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), and Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY).

During the visit to UNY, the Untar delegation was welcomed by the Director of UNY’s Quality Assurance Directorate, Prof. Dr. Lia Yulianan, M.Pd., and her team. The visit also served as an implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Untar and UNY in May 2024.

At UGM, discussions were held with the Head of UGM’s Quality Assurance and Reputation Unit, Prof. Dr. Indra Wijaya Kusuma, M.B.A., and his team. Representatives from Universitas Terbuka and Universitas Sriwijaya also participated in the meeting.

The final visit was conducted at UMY, where the delegation was welcomed by Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, M.P., I.P.M., A.E., along with members of the university leadership.

Prof. Agustinus explained, “We continue to strengthen our internal quality assurance system through learning opportunities and benchmarking activities. These visits provide new inspiration for quality improvement while also allowing us to assess Untar’s achievements.”

Throughout the visits, the Rector was accompanied by several university leaders, including Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Rasji, S.H., M.H.; Head of the Institute for Quality Assurance and Resources, Ir. Gregorius Sandjaja Sentosa, M.T.; Head of the Institute for Learning, Dr. Ir. Henny Wiyanto, M.T., I.P.M.; and Head of the Internal Audit Office, Henny, S.E., M.Si., Akt., CA. (VH/YS/KJ)
