Untar held an online meeting with the parents of new students for the 2024/2025 academic year on Saturday (17/8/2024). The event was organized to foster closer communication with parents while providing a deeper understanding of the academic environment and the various facilities available at the university.

Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., A.E. explained the importance of a supportive academic environment in developing students’ capabilities and highlighted the role of parents in providing emotional support throughout their children’s academic journey.

He emphasized that Untar focuses not only on academic excellence but also on supporting students through internship programs both on and off campus.

“Students are allowed to gain practical experience by working on real-world cases and applying knowledge through case studies available within the higher education environment,” he said.

The Rector further explained that Untar has established partnerships with various companies, both domestically and internationally, to expand internship opportunities for students.

The parents meeting is a regular event conducted by the university leadership at the beginning of each new academic year to strengthen engagement between Untar and students’ families. (MS/YS/KJ)
