The anniversary of Faculty of Communication Science (Fikom) Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) raised the theme “Knitting Humanist Communication”. This theme was raised in consideration of the importance of humanist communication in the midst of the rapid development of technology and it is feared that it can replace the role of humans.
The statement was delivered by Dean of Fikom Untar Dr. Riris Loisa, M.Si. in the celebration of the 18th Anniversary of Fikom Untar, Thursday (27/6) at Campus I Untar.

The Dean of Fikom Untar emphasized that the essence of humanist communication is to respect fellow human beings. In this anniversary series, various competitions were held such as popular scientific writing, short video, audio advertisement, photography, and poster competition with the theme “Knitting Humanist Communication”.
The Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng. expressed his support for Fikom Untar to continue to produce reputable works that benefit the wider community.
He hoped that Fikom Untar could continue to develop itself, organize the organization, ensure strong quality, and build national and international collaborations.
“Currently, Fikom Untar has good human resources, of course this is a positive thing for its development. Let us welcome the establishment of the Master of Communication Science program which is expected to be realized in 2024,” he added.

Fikom employee, Purwanti, feels proud to be part of Fikom Untar and hopes that this faculty will continue to develop and become the leader in the field of Communication Science. The same thing was expressed by Yayat Supriyatna who was impressed by the various achievements that Fikom Untar has made even though it is only 18 years old.
Fikom Untar, which was established in 2006, is based on the values of Humanism, Entrepreneurship, Professionalism, and Integrity (HEPI) which are derivatives of Untar’s vision and mission of Integrity, Professionalism, and Entrepreneurship (IPE). (DP/AW/KJ)
