Suwinto Johan was officially awarded the Doctor of Law (DIH) degree during the Open Examination of the Doctor of Law Program (Prodi DIH), Faculty of Law (FH) Untar, held on Wednesday (26/6) at the Auditorium of Campus I Untar.
Suwinto graduated with a perfect GPA of 4.00 and became the 32nd graduate of Untar’s Doctor of Law Program. He successfully defended his dissertation entitled “The Application of the Principles of Balance and Justice in Loan Agreements in Bankruptcy and Suspension of Debt Payment Obligation (PKPU) Decisions.”
His research originated from a juridical review of financing agreements between customers and financial institutions based on the principle of fairness and the principle of equality.
“Bankruptcy and suspension of debt payment obligations are intended to ensure that businesses can continue as going concerns or that creditors can recover their loans. The classification of debts based on collateral does not fulfill the principles of justice, balance, and equality,” explained Suwinto.
