Student Executive Board of Faculty of Arts and Design (BEM FSRD) Untar held Rupareka Festival at The Forum, Lippo Mall Puri, Jakarta, Friday (7/6).

The event was filled with various activities, including the launch of ArtMAX Vol. 18 magazine, Menjadi Indonesia art exhibition, arts and crafts market, and workshops.

Themed Artistic Masterpiece, Eternal Resistance of Timeless Artistry (AMERTA), Rupareka 2024 Chief Executive Kyancent Lie said the meaning of the festival’s theme is a work that will not be swallowed up by time. He hopes that the creativity of the students on display can be enjoyed by everyone.

Meanwhile, Untar student Vanessa Julia Ang as the Chief Executive of ArtMAX Magazine explained that the theme Novaturient, which means the desire to change and develop, is a reflection of the nature of the students involved.

“In life, we must be brave to face obstacles, therefore we need change and development,” Vanessa explained.

Lecturer of FSRD Untar Fivanda, S.Ds., M.Ds. expressed his appreciation for the dedication and consistency of FSRD Untar students in improving the quality of their work.

“This routine activity that takes place over a long period of time is not an easy thing. However, the students of FSRD Untar are getting better until they produce extraordinary works that we can see,” he added.

This annual event that has been running for 15 years is the culmination of the BEM FSRD work program. This year, the festival was held for three days until Sunday (9/6). (CS/AW/KJ)
