Higher Education Service Institution Region III (LLDikti III) collaborated with Untar to organize Technical Guidance on Relaxation of Higher Education Curriculum (KPT) Oriented to Off-Campus Learning, Wednesday (15/5) at Auditorium Campus I Untar.
The two-day event aimed to develop higher education curriculum in accordance with Permendikbudristek RI Number 53 Year 2023 on Quality Assurance of Higher Education.
The technical guidance was delivered by Prof. Dr. Edy Cahyono, M.Si. from Universitas Negeri Semarang and Dr. Ir. Syamsul Arifin, M.T. from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November, and moderated by the Head of Untar Learning Resources Center Office Dr. dr. Arlends Chris, M.Si.
Head of LLDikti III Prof. Toni Toharudin, S.Si., M.Sc. expressed his gratitude to Untar for always supporting and facilitating LLDikti III programs.
Prof. Toni emphasized the importance of updating the university curriculum to keep up with technological developments and meet learning outcomes.
“The curriculum must be redesigned immediately because developments demand changes to the curriculum that may no longer be relevant,” he said.
Since 2020, students have been directed to engage in activities outside the study program through the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program. This program provides freedom for students to choose programs according to their interests.
“Universities must also facilitate students in this program,” added Prof. Toni.
Furthermore, Prof. Toni mentioned that although the number of students participating in the MBKM program continues to increase, the number of universities involved is still stagnant.
LLDikti III hopes that this event can provide sustainability in improving the quality of higher education and encourage more universities to be involved in the implementation of the MBKM program.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng. revealed that Untar is very open to collaborating with various parties, especially in improving the quality of higher education.
Hopefully, this activity can provide benefits for all participants and can be immediately implemented in their respective universities.
Untar itself is one of the most active campuses in the implementation of MBKM, as evidenced by the award as the Best MBKM Organizing College from LLDikti III which Untar received in 2022.
