Eid al-Fitr is a highly anticipated moment for Muslims around the world. In Indonesia, this holiday is also called Lebaran.

Lebaran is not just a religious celebration, but also an opportunity to gather with family, celebrate happiness, and strengthen relationships between people.

Here are some traditions that make Lebaran even more special.

1. Staying in Touch
The tradition of staying in touch is one of the most important values in Indonesian culture, especially during Lebaran. This moment is the perfect time to visit relatives, neighbors, and friends who may not have the chance to meet everyday. This visit is not only to convey Eid greetings, but also as a form of maintaining friendship and strengthening relationships between people.

2. Apologize
Lebaran is also the perfect time to forgive each other. The tradition of asking for forgiveness and giving forgiveness is an important part of this celebration. By forgiving each other, we can cleanse our hearts from grudges and hatred, and start a new chapter with happiness and peace.

3. Eid Prayer
One of the worship traditions performed by Muslims on the morning of Eid is the Eid prayer. Many Muslims gather in mosques or open fields to pray together in congregation. In addition to worship, Eid prayer is also an opportunity to meet with friends and other relatives.

4. Eid Dishes
Celebrating Eid is incomplete without the typical Eid dishes. Foods such as ketupat, opor ayam, rendang, and traditional cakes are highly anticipated dishes. These dishes are not only a symbol of celebration, but also a bond in gathering with family and relatives.

Lebaran is a special moment, with happiness, togetherness and harmony that can be felt by everyone.

Through these traditions, we can strengthen our relationships with others and celebrate the diversity of cultures that exist.

Minal Aidin Wal Faizin, we apologize physically and mentally. May this festive day bring happiness and blessings to us all.

Happy Eid al-Fitr 1445 H.
