The relationship with the media that has been established by Untar Public Relations so far has provided many positive things. The media has become an important part in building Untar’s reputation, especially in conveying information to the public about various achievements. Synergy is built not only in terms of coverage, but also various activities such as writing training, media visits, collaborative activities, media gatherings, and scholarships for further studies.
This was conveyed by the Head of Untar Public Relations Office Dra. Paula T. Anggarina, M.M. in a media gathering event at Mercure BSD City Hotel, Tangerang, Friday (22/12). The event themed “Media Relations through Public Relations of Private Universities (PTS): Reflection Towards 2024” lasted for two days and was attended by journalists from 20 online, print, and radio mass media.
Head of Public Relations Office said the media gathering was held to appreciate the support of fellow journalists as well as to strengthen friendship and build good relations. “There were 418 Untar news released by mass media throughout 2023. This is one proof of the good synergy between Untar and the media,” she explained.
Paula hopes that the good relationship between Untar and fellow journalists from various mass media can continue and provide goodness for both parties.
Syarief Oebaidillah, a senior journalist who is also the chairman of Forum Wartawan Pendidikan (Fortadik) who participated in this activity, acknowledged that Untar through the Public Relations Office has built a good relationship with the media. Untar’s Public Relations Office deserved the Public Relations Award in Anugerah Diktiristek 2023 because of its excellent performance.
He also appreciated Untar for routinely holding media gathering activities every year as a form of appreciation and synergy with media partners. “Joint activities such as media gathering can build chemistry that will ultimately have a positive impact,” said the man who is familiarly called Ubay.
Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng. hopes that collaboration in 2024 can continue to grow. According to him, there are still many potential collaborations that can be done between Untar and the media, which can bring positive changes to Indonesia and the world.
Since its establishment in 2013, Untar Public Relations has won the Top 5 PTS with the Best and Most Productive Public Relations in LLDikti III Environment in 2020. Higher Education with the Best Social Media Performance Report in 2021, and Bronze Winner for the Higher Education sector in the Social Media category of the Public Relations Indonesia Awards (PRIA) 2023.
In addition to the awards at Anugerah Diktiristek 2023, Untar Public Relations received three awards at once for the PTS category, namely Gold Winner in the subcategory of Pages and Social Media, and Silver Winner for Head of Untar Public Relations Dra. Paula T. Anggarina, M.M. in the Public Relations Personnel subcategory.
