Editor-in-Chief of Berita Satu Syukri Rahmatullah visited Untar and was received by Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.PU., ASEAN Eng. on Wednesday (29/11) at Campus I Untar. The visit was conducted in order to establish cooperation with Berita Satu.

Syukri said that Berita Satu can improve the quality of news in Indonesia through this cooperation. According to Syukri, the rapid spread of information on social media makes a lot of information less credible and can lead to hoax news.

“Information disseminated to the public must be correct and accountable. Therefore, it is important to cooperate with academics at Untar,” said Syukri.

The Rector said Untar is ready to cooperate with Berita Satu to improve the quality of journalism in Indonesia. He said this cooperation could support Untar to produce excellent graduates.

Also attending the visit were Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Rasji, S.H., M.H. and Public Relations Dra. Paula T. Anggarina, M.M. (ZR/AW)
