Organized by WSFI, this year’s Academic Leader Award was attended by heads of Higher Education Service Institute and excellent professors from universities throughout Indonesia, as well as representatives of international universities.
This year marks the second time Untar received the Academic Leader Award. In 2019, Prof. Agustinus was awarded as the Best Private University Rector in the same event.
Rector revealed that this award is one of Untar’s performance achievements, as a form of accountability to the public regarding Untar’s management, which has been recognized at the national and international levels.
In particular, Rector expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Culture, Untar Academic Community, and all partners of Untar, both domestic and international.
“Hopefully, this achievement can increase our motivation to produce reputable works that benefit the nation and state, in accordance with Untar’s tagline: Untar for Indonesia, Untar for the World, Untar always in our hearts,” said Rector.
WSFI is an event that brings together academics from all over Indonesia who conduct research together with international professors. For three days, academics will discuss how to strengthen research collaboration and improve networks between universities in Indonesia and abroad.
Opening the event, Minister of Research and Technology Nadiem Anwar Makarim hopes that WSFI could become a momentum to dissolve all existing boundaries, and strengthen collaboration to take Indonesia leaping into the future.
“With enthusiasm, let us continue to move simultaneously to continue the Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) movement,” said Nadiem. (AW/PA/KJ)
