Untar’s Faculty of Information Technology (FTI) collaborated with Metrodata Academy to organize Metrodata Academy Edufair Kampus Merdeka Mandiri (KMM) 2023 at Untar Campus I Auditorium, Wednesday (25/10).
The event presented various socialization sessions of the Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) program for students and lecturers.
Head of Metrodata Academy Marlina in her speech said that the discussion of the event focused on Cybersecurity Awareness. According to her, this topic is fundamental in everyday life, especially since we have entered the era of digitalization.
Marlina said that digitalization encourages the frequency of using digital media, which requires wisdom in its use. In addition, people need to be aware of the impacts that may arise from the convenience brought by digitalization.
Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., A.E. welcomed the collaboration between universities, professions, and businesses. According to Rector, collaboration is a very positive thing for the self-development of the academic community in the learning process in higher education.
“I hope this event can improve competence and deliver Untar students to be ready to enter the professional world,” said Rector.
In line with the Rector, Dean of FTI Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Dyah Erny Herwindiati, M.Si. hoped that the event could improve the competitiveness and professionalism of Indonesia’s young generation.
Socialization to students was delivered by a representative of the Strategic Partnership Program MSIB Team at the Ministry of Education and Culture, Risza Puteri Elburnah.
Risza shared information and tips for students who will take the Independent Campus program in the form of Certified Internships and Independent Studies (MSIB).
Meanwhile, the socialization for lecturers was delivered by a representative of the Belmawa Working Group of LLDikti Region III, Ikhsan Riyanda. Ikhsan provided socialization related to the implementation and implementation of the Independent Campus program in their respective institutions.
FTI Untar and Metrodata Academy have worked together in various fields related to information technology. This time, the two institutions work together in developing superior and relevant human resources (HR) in the world of work.
