The Indonesian Furniture and Handicraft Industry Association (ASMINDO) in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Industry, and Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs of the Republic of Indonesia held the Indonesia Furniture & Design Expo (IFFINA) 2023 entitled “The New Sourcing Circle in Asia”.

The event was opened by President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo accompanied by ASMINDO Chairman Dedy Rochimat at the International Convention Expo (ICE) BSD City, Thursday (14/9).

In IFFINA 2023, Untar participated through the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD) which exhibited student works. One of them was Feby Permata’s artwork.

“We carry the concept of ‘Local Pride’ to encourage the domestic industry, as well as to showcase the work of students as the young generation of Indonesia,” said Feby.

Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., A.E. who attended the event revealed that this activity is one form of Independent Learning Independent Campus activities. The hope is that the work produced by students can be realized and contribute to the progress of the domestic industry.

The international event which was held until Sunday (17/9) was attended by 298 participants with 5,027 visitors from 52 countries who had registered. (AW/AW)
