Untar in collaboration with El John Indonesia Foundation held a talk show “El John Pageants Goes to Campus” at Graha Swara Campus 1 Untar, Friday (23/6).

The talk show presented by lecturer of Faculty of Psychology Untung Subroto, S.Psi., M.Psi. and Putri Pariwisata Nusantara Chelia Dema discussed about confidence in public speaking.

In his session, Untung shared tips to become a good public speaker. According to Untung, beginners can learn speeches by reading the full script to learn to speak well.

After confidence is established, the next stage is speaking using pointers or only using important points.

“The last stage is speaking without a script, so that beginners can get used to speaking without any script and points, also to get used to improvisation,” continued the lecturer who is experienced as a radio broadcaster.

Untung also reminded participants that public speaking ability starts from within each person.

In addition to the talk show, there was also an Open Audition for the Selection of Putra Putri Pariwisata Nusantara 2023 which was moderated by Putri Pariwisata Nusantara Chelia Dema. (YI/AW)
