Untar handed out appreciation to Oliver Budi Wangge’s achievement as the gold medalist in SEA Games Cambodia. The appreciation takes form as a scholarship, handed out personally by Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng., on Wednesday (14/6) at Untar campus.

Oliver is a Bachelor of Management Study Program, FEB student whom a member of Indonesian team in E-Sport Valorant discipline.

Rector of Untar appreciates Oliver’s achievement and believes it could be a motivation for other Untar students. Rector also said thank you for Oliver’s contribution in making Indonesia honored at international level.

“Untar is proud for what Oliver has achieved. Such a pride as not only in the field of nonacademic, but Oliver’s academic score is good as well, scoring a 3,5 GPA. At Untar, we have a lot of students with potentials and high academic scores who managed to create achievements at national and international level,” said Rector.

Rector stated that this is possible due to supportive academic environment, supported with tremendous student activities through 26 Student Activity Units of many fields.

Untar always support its students to deliver their talents and interests through various out-of-campus activities.

One of Untar supports is a scholarship to students with achievements, such as Oliver’s.

Oliver admits Untar’s support throughout SEA Games 2023 was flexibility in lectures.

He expects students to keep believing in their own potential development, and not let fear gets in the way of what can be achieved through new opportunities.

The scholarship was handed out during Untar School Gathering event that invited high school teachers and students in Jabodetabek region. The event which themed “Unlock Your Potential” becomes an educational collaboration between secondary education and higher education in supporting Indonesia Emas (Golden Indonesia) 2045. (YS/PA/AW)
