Professional Accountant Education (PPAk) Study Program of Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Untar held a hybrid Internal Auditing Workshop, Saturday (27/5). The event presented Commissioner of Accounting Services Office (KJA) PT Global Score Consulting Muh. Arief Effendi, S.E., M.Si., Ak., QIA, CPMA, CA, ACPA, CACP as the guest speaker.
Dean of FEB Untar Dr. Sawidji Widoatmodjo, S.E., M.M., M.B.A. when opening the event said that this activity is a form of responsibility and process that must be passed by PPAk students in completing professional certification.
Arief Effendi in his presentation explained that internal audit is an objective and independent assurance and consulting activity designed to improve and add value to the operations of an organization.
Along with the times, auditors not only carry out consulting activities, but participate in evaluation and improvement activities to help organizations achieve their goals.
“In the current era, auditors are required to be able to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes,” Arief explained.
Furthermore, Arief explained the purpose and application of the Qualified Internal Auditor (QIA) certification code of ethics. The QIA certificate is a recognition of individuals who have qualified knowledge and skills in the field of internal auditing.
The QIA code of ethics is a standard of behavior and a guideline for the owner of the QIA title. These standards become the basic principles in practicing as an internal auditor with dignity and responsibility.
The workshop was attended by hundreds of students and lecturers of Untar. (DN/AW)
