Associate Professor Tagayasu Naito of Tokai University Japan visited Untar and had a meeting with Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M. I.P.U., Asean Eng. along with other leaders and lecturers, Tuesday (16/8). The visit was aimed to discuss potential collaborations of both parties.
Naito said that Tokai University has collaborated with a few universities in ASEAN countries. He expected to collaborate with Untar substantially. He admitted that among other universities visited, Untar is a very good university to cooperate with. “I think in terms of cooperation, Untar is very appropriate to collaborate with us,” said Naito.
Rector of Untar responded well to Tokai University invitation to a more implementative cooperation and not only limited to MoU signing. “We do not wish to only sign the MoU and held no activities afterwards, we would like to develop collaborations. Untar needs various partners to increase researches, publications, guest lecturers, and student exchanges. I think this is where Untar could focus on,” said Rector.
He proposed both universities to conduct student and lecturer exchange as an implementation of the collaboration in the near future. He expected students to obtain new learning experience and culture.
