A 4 days and 3 nights trip is a memorable experience in neighboring country, Malaysia. There are various attractions and unique culinary in Penang, Malaysia became an attraction for FIkom Untar representatives Dr. Riris Loisa, M.Si (Dean of Fikom Untar) and Diah Ayu Candraningrum, M.Si (Fikom Untar’s Lecturer), 2 students representatives Restya Lova and Erwin, to get around Penang state. This activity is conducted as a series of international competition activities of IMPACT students 2017, held by Universiti Sains malaysia (USM) on 12th to 15th December 2017. The trip was started with strolling around Penang capital city, George Town, which consist English colony’s historical buildings which has been recognized by UNESCO. For you, who have a chance to visit this capital city, it’s a must place to visit Penang’s most iconic building, such as Penang Street Art. The last day before coming back to Jakarta, with committees and participants are visiting Chew Jetty, a port which was recognized by Heritage Trail. We also tasted Nasi Kandar, Nasi Briyani, Teh Tarik, Laksa, as well as various seafood dishes with Malaysian spices. We net lots of people from diverse ethnic, religions, races, and classes which is certainly different from the Indonesian people even though it is in one clump, Malay. It was not enough 4 days we visited, hopefully on another occasion we can go back and create a travel story that we will share to Untarian and academic community. (DA)
