Gita Swara was originally named Paduan Suara Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Tarumanagara until 1993, where it officially took up their new name. Gita Swara routinely sings at FK Untar’s doctor inaugurations, music corners and a lot of other faculty events. Every year Gita Swara prepares for a special event which is a musical concert or musical drama. This year’s special event is a musical drama with the theme of “Once Upon a Dream”, its purpose is to serve as a vessel for students of FK Untar to develop themselves and as a way to channel their inner talents in the vocal arts, music, and theatrical. This event also serves to promote Gita Swara’s position as a vessel of art for the faculty and public alike. This year’s theme of “Once Upon a Dream” reflects the passion, dream, and hope for the new generation as Gita Swara attempts a different concept for this year’s musical drama. Watch as they tell the story of “Beauty and the Beast”, “Rapunzel”, and “Mulan” and perform a plethora of songs for the audience. Gita Swara welcomes everyone and anyone to come and enjoy the show.
