Tarumanagara University (UNTAR) held the first open defense for Gunardi, S.H., M.H.  In the Doctoral promotion, he successfully got 4.00 with “Commercial Bankruptcy Legal Judgement on Indonesia’s Justice System” as the title for his dissertation.  The objective of this research is to understand the pattern of legal in argumentation and consideration while deciding on cases about the commercial court and the fairness of law in supreme court.

In the process of the dissertation, Gunardi suggested three advice.  First, society needs to know more about the bankruptcy law in Indonesia.  Second, judge’s decisions consisted of certainty, fairness and law’s expediency.  Third, the judge needs to understand the fairness essence between debtor and creditor.  Gunardi, the executive chairman of Tarumanagara Foundation has been avowed to have his doctoral degree by the examiner board which composed of many experts.

Those experts include Prof. Dr. Abdul Gani, S.H., LL.M., Dr. Susanti Adi Nugroho, S.H., M.H., Prof. Dr. H. K. Martono, S.H., LL.M., Prof. Dr. Valerine Kriekhoff, S.H., M.A., Prof. Dr. Mohammad Saleh, S.H., M.H. and Prof. Dr. Takdir Ramadi, S.H., LL.M.  There are also Rector of UNTAR Prof. Ir. Roesdiman Soegiarso, M.Sc., Ph.D. and Dean for Faculty of Law Dr. Ahmad Sudiro, S.H., M.H. who led the event.  Congratulations!
