Untar Participates in the 81st Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony with LLDikti Region III

Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) participated in the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia commemoration ceremony organized by the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDikti) Region III on Monday (17/8/2026). The ceremony, attended by approximately 1,500 participants, was held at the Institute Tarumanagara (ITARU) Field in South Jakarta, a higher education institution under the Tarumanagara Foundation.

Untar’s participation was marked by the attendance of Untar Rector Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., together with Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H., as well as members of the Untar academic community. Their presence also reflected the involvement of educational institutions under the Tarumanagara Foundation in joint activities with universities within the LLDikti Region III network.

The ceremony was attended by Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Prof. Badri Munir Sukoco, and Head of LLDikti Region III Prof. Dr. Henri Togar Hasiholan Tambunan, S.E., M.A. Participants included university leaders, faculty members, students, and academic communities from various higher education institutions across LLDikti Region III.

In his remarks, Badri emphasized the importance of synergy among higher education institutions in producing new talent and technopreneurs driven by science and technology. Universities were encouraged to transform research outcomes not only into academic publications but also into solutions, products, and companies that contribute to the national economy.

Echoing this message, Henri encouraged universities within LLDikti Region III to strengthen collaboration in education, research, innovation, and community service. Such collaboration is expected to reinforce the role of higher education institutions in developing human resources and innovations that support Indonesia’s progress.

In addition to the ceremony, the event featured the presentation of the Satyalancana Karyasatya honorary award to 133 recipients within the LLDikti Region III community, as well as awards for outstanding students of 2026.

For Untar, participating in the event reflects the university’s commitment to contributing to the commemoration of Indonesia’s Independence Day while strengthening collaboration and solidarity with other higher education institutions within LLDikti Region III. (VC/YS)
