Through its Faculty of Medicine (FK), Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) organized the Gebyar Cek Kesehatan Gratis (Free Health Check Festival) in collaboration with the West Jakarta City Health Sub-Department, in partnership with the Grogol Petamburan Community Health Center and Palmerah Community Health Center, on June 18–19, 2026. Held at T-Space, Campus I of Untar, the program provided early detection services for various diseases to members of the academic community and the public.
Layanan yang tersedia meliputi pemeriksaan kesehatan gigi, mata, kesehatan jiwa, hipertensi, obesitas, diabetes, hepatitis, aktivitas fisik, IVA Test dan SADANIS, fungsi paru-paru, serta deteksi penyakit tidak menular. Seluruh pemeriksaan, termasuk skrining diabetes dan hipertensi, dilakukan oleh tenaga kesehatan profesional tanpa dipungut biaya.
Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., stated that the free health screening program was highly beneficial, as healthcare is a fundamental need of society. He expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between Untar and the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta through the West Jakarta Health Sub-Department in organizing the event.
Support for the program was also conveyed by Yayasan Tarumanagara through its Secretary of the Management Board, Vedrych J. Kusnanto, S.Kom., M.M., who emphasized that health is an aspect that deserves continuous attention and that public awareness of the importance of maintaining good health must continue to be strengthened.
Head of the West Jakarta City Health Sub-Department, dr. Sahruna, M.K.M., also expressed appreciation for the collaboration with Untar in organizing the program. According to her, partnerships between higher education institutions and the government can support efforts to improve healthcare services for the community.
In addition to providing health screening services, the program also established a follow-up mechanism for participants requiring further medical examinations. Participants identified as having certain health conditions would receive guidance for additional examinations based on their medical needs.
Through this initiative, Untar also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. (VC/YS)
