The Student Activity Unit (UKM) Jujitsu Untar successfully held the Open Mat Tournament at Tarumanagara Arena, Campus I of Universitas Tarumanagara, on Friday (12/6/2024).

The Open Mat Tournament 2024 is the largest work program of the Jujitsu unit, aimed at developing and promoting UKM Jujitsu Untar, both within internal circles and to external audiences.

This year, the Open Mat Tournament carried the theme “Legend of the Mat: Unleash Your Inner Fighter,” symbolizing the resurgence of former legends who once regularly secured medals in various competitions.

The Open Mat Tournament was officially opened by the Head of the Student and Alumni Affairs Institution Dr. Adianto, M.Sc., the Chairperson of UKM Jujitsu Untar Brittania Siskia, and the Head of the Organizing Committee Johanes Alexander Deo Gultom.

Brittania stated that the Open Mat Tournament is expected to serve as a platform to demonstrate the athletes’ abilities and spirit in developing their potential and achieving accomplishments.

“Hopefully, this event can motivate friends in the next period to organize even more exciting activities than this year’s event. To all athletes, keep training hard and achieve higher accomplishments. Stay humble and always give your best effort. Lastly, Untarians, unleash your inner fighter!” Brittania said. (MS/YS/KJ)
