Hendra Wiyanto successfully defended his dissertation entitled “The Influence of University Support on Entrepreneurial Success Through the Mediation of Entrepreneurial Self-Efficacy and Entrepreneurial Intention Variables (A Study of Two Private Universities in Jakarta)” during the Open Examination of the Doctor of Management Science Program at Untar on Friday (14/6/2024).

Through his research, Hendra developed a model for examining entrepreneurial success and produced findings indicating that the mediating effect of entrepreneurial self-efficacy on the relationship between university support and entrepreneurial success was not statistically significant.

The study also found that the contribution of the entrepreneurial intention construct was greater than that of university support and entrepreneurial self-efficacy. In addition, the mediating effect of entrepreneurial intention on the relationship between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial success was stronger than the mediating effect of entrepreneurial intention on the relationship between university support and entrepreneurial success.

Chair of the Examination Committee and Internal Examiner Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng. announced that Hendra had successfully graduated as the fifth doctoral graduate of Untar’s Doctor of Management Science Program. He earned a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.98 and was awarded the distinction of Very Satisfactory.

Principal Promoter Prof. Ir. Carunia Mulya Firdausy, M.ADE., Ph.D. encouraged Hendra Wiyanto to continue working hard in developing his expertise, particularly in the field of entrepreneurship, and to contribute to enhancing Untar’s reputation.
