The Visual Communication Design Study Program (DKV) of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD) at Untar held a photography exhibition. The event, which opened on Monday (1/7) at East Upper Ground, Ciputra Mall, Jakarta, will run through November and feature different collections of works each month.
The exhibition, titled “Step Largely Across Realms (Stellar),” showcases 16 outstanding works by lecturers from Untar’s DKV Study Program. For this month’s edition, Stellar carries the theme of culture, presenting authentic visual representations of Indonesian cultural heritage, including spiritual rituals, traditional arts, and everyday life. In addition to the exhibition, the event also features creative talk sessions, live mural painting performances, and a series of competitions.
Head of the DKV Study Program at Untar, Ruby Chrissandy, S.Sn., M.Ds., explained that the exhibition aims to connect the world of art with the wider community. “It is hoped that this event will bring a fresh atmosphere to the art scene amid the hustle and bustle of the capital city,” he said.
He further emphasized that the DKV Study Program at Untar is committed to fostering awareness and appreciation of art and design within society while strengthening creativity among both students and lecturers. In addition, building collaborations with external partners remains a key priority as part of efforts to expand networks and support the growth of Indonesia’s creative industry. (CS/YS/KJ)
