The involvement of experts in discussing current issues that attract public attention can provide significant added value. This presents a valuable opportunity for collaboration between universities and media organizations.
This was conveyed by the Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng., during a visit to the Kumparan office on Tuesday (6/8/2024).
“Untar experts can provide in-depth opinions and analyses, making news coverage more informative and insightful,” he said.
Kumparan Corporate Communication Manager Winda Dwiastuti expressed Kumparan’s openness to collaborating with various institutions, including Untar.
“Kumparan is not only a platform for journalists to write. Experts, students, and lecturers from Untar can create accounts on Kumparan, and their articles will be reviewed by the relevant team. If they meet our standards, the articles can be published,” she explained.
Winda added that contributors from Untar may receive a verified badge on their profiles, increasing the credibility and trustworthiness of their published content.
The Untar Rector also emphasized the importance of presenting ideas through well-crafted writing. He noted that this opportunity could help strengthen the writing skills of Untar students and lecturers.
“Even the best work can go unnoticed if it is not presented through writing that is engaging and appealing to readers,” he remarked.
