To welcome the 2025/2026 academic year, Untar invited parents and guardians of new students to take an active role in shaping their children’s character through the Students Parents Meeting (SPM) 2025, held online via Zoom on Saturday (August 16, 2025).
In his remarks, Untar Rector Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M. emphasized that parents are the front line in supporting their children’s personal development.
“Untar is committed to providing the best learning process with integrity, while also creating a safe environment for your sons and daughters,” said Prof. Amad.
The Rector also expressed his appreciation to the parents and guardians of new students for entrusting Untar as the place for their children to pursue higher education. He added that Untar consistently upholds the values of Integrity, Professionalism, and Entrepreneurship (IPE) as the foundation for shaping graduates with strong character, ready to face the professional world.
“With Untar’s values, we hope students will grow into individuals of character, able to apply these values in their careers, and become people who bring benefit to others,” he emphasized.
On the same occasion, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Collaboration, who is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Psychology, delivered a presentation titled “Campus 101: Adapt, Act, Achieve.” He highlighted the importance of being proactive, independent, and responsible, while also reminding students to uphold the values of the Tridharma of Higher Education throughout their academic journey.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Institute for Learning and Academic Innovation, Dr. Ir. Steven Darmawan, S.T., M.T., explained Untar’s learning processes, the embedded IPE values, and the forms of support the university provides in guiding students. He also presented the academic calendar, allowing parents to understand their children’s schedules for classes, exams, and other important academic activities.
The meeting also featured an introduction to the Integrated Information Services of Universitas Tarumanagara (LINTAR), which can be accessed by students through LINTAR SSO and by parents via LINTAR Orang Tua. (VC/YS)
