Untar Hosts ICCIM 2025: Uniting Global Innovation for Green and Resilient Infrastructure

Untar once again demonstrated its presence on the international stage by hosting The Fourth International Conference of Construction, Infrastructure, and Materials (ICCIM) 2025. This prestigious conference was held on Thursday (24/07/2025) at the Auditorium of Building M, Untar Campus I, carrying the theme “Advancing Technology in Civil Engineering Towards Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure.”

This event aims to broaden insights and strengthen collaborative networks among academics, practitioners, and researchers from various countries in promoting the development of resilient and environmentally conscious infrastructure, particularly in Indonesia.

In his opening remarks, Chairman of ICCIM 2025, Prof. Ir. Roesdiman Soegiarso, M.Sc., Ph.D., stated that the conference serves as a strategic forum for sharing knowledge and the latest research findings.

“I hope the participants can exchange ideas and thoughts on the development of sustainable and resilient infrastructure. May the outcomes of these discussions and research bring real impact to the wider community,” he said.

Untar Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psychologist, emphasized the relevance of the ICCIM 2025 theme to today’s global challenges.

“We are facing urgent issues such as global warming and environmental degradation. I hope this conference can spark solutions on how we can develop smarter, greener, and stronger infrastructure technologies,” she explained.

The conference featured four keynote speakers from renowned international institutions: Prof. Louis Ge (National Taiwan University), Dr. Andy Prabowo, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. (Untar), Assoc. Prof. Hyunjin Ju (Hankyong National University, South Korea), and Dr. Gustavo A.M. de Almeida (University of Southampton, United Kingdom). All speakers attended the event in person at Untar, except for Dr. Gustavo, who joined virtually.

The event took place in an interactive and enthusiastic atmosphere. Participants from various national and international institutions actively engaged in discussions and asked questions. In addition to the main sessions, the conference also featured two parallel sessions that delved deeper into technical topics related to civil engineering and materials.

Through ICCIM 2025, Untar reaffirmed its strategic role as a higher education institution that is adaptive to technological advancements and committed to bridging global collaboration for the development of sustainable and future-oriented infrastructure.
